Press Release: New ‘Train To Be Happy’ Coaching Service Launches

With Action For Happiness – the new government supported drive to get the UK populace feeling happier - launching in London yesterday (Tuesday 12th April); and with the Government set to start monitoring the nations happiness and ‘well being’ levels from this month, a local Portsmouth charity is launching a new ‘happiness coaching’ service to train local residents in powerful drug free techniques to help them improve their emotional state, leading to happier and more productive lives.

Feel Good UK officially launches its ‘happiness coaching’ service next week, at a time when the happiness and emotional states of residents in the UK is finally being given some recognition.

“For years happiness and positive emotion has been ridiculed by the British, being seen as very happy-clappy and very American. But now government advisors are waking up to the obvious: that a happier individual is more empowered, self motivated and successful; a great deal healthier, placing less economic burden on the state.”

Feel Good UK CEO Steven Surridge

The hour long coaching sessions focus on the client’s positive future aspirations, and spend very little time regurgitating the painful past, which often results in clients feeling worse instead of feeling better. The charity’s ethos is based around the fact that feeling good creates an improved life experience, which flies in the face of much conventional counselling and therapy.

“Many clients come to us because they have found that conventional counselling has left them feeling worse off, and they instinctively know they want to feel good.”

The charity teaches what it calls ‘powerful mind and emotional management techniques’, which help an individual generate positive emotion with themselves, reducing stress and anxiety levels while energizing and helping the individual cope with potentially stressful circumstances. These thought management techniques also build improved mental resilience and self esteem, equipping individuals to cope effectively with the challenges of modern living.

The new interest in the nation’s happiness comes at a time when the nation’s mental health seems to be rapidly deteriorating alongside the wilting economy. Data from the National Economics Foundation recently placed the UK in 24th position in the world in terms of life satisfaction, compared to the USA which came 9th, and Costa Rica which came a surprising 1st.

• Over the last 25 years, rates of anxiety and depression amongst young people have increased by 70%

• The World Health Organisation predicts depression will be the second highest cause of death globally (after heart disease) by 2020

“David Cameron’s attention to happiness is seen by many as woolly and trite. But to really enjoy life and get the maximum out of every moment, an individual truly has to be of a happy mindset. With no mainstream education being in place to teach people how to feel good and be happy, Feel Good UK is offering this new coaching service to help those individuals who really care about themselves to get the very best out of their lives.” Feel Good UK CEO Steven Surridge

Information about the ‘Happiness Coaching’ service can be found online at www.feelgoodukonline.com. Sessions cost £45.00 an hour and come with a full money back guarantee if after 6 months no change has been made to the client’s life. Sessions can take place during the day, evening or at weekends subject to availability. Call 07908 235080 to book an appointment.
